Happiness is like a butterfly. The more you chase it the more it will elude you. But if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder. My OLW came in the midst of a depression this past winter. My writing says..it was not enough to “choose happy”. For me, it was a quest to notice what gives me an uplifted mood, every day.. It might be pride in something I cooked. It might be amusement in Asha’s antics. It might be hearing a small compliment. It might be gratitude when my son texts hello. It might be comfort when my daughter gives me a hot cup of tea. I gather all these ssmall things to make me feel happy.
I like this modified grid with the sweet colors you chose!
What a fantastic page! I love your journaling and how you describe being mindful of what brings you happiness. This is so thought-provoking! Just reading this made me happy!
