Scrapbook Yourself... with a List!

Scrapbooking about yourself can be a difficult thing to do.

Dani makes this task easier with two great choices:

  1. She chooses products designed for scrapbooking about yourself.
  2. She uses a list. This helps you tell a complete story, and keep it simple at the same time.

Now… it’s time to…

Get to Know Dani

Hi Everyone! I’m so excited to be a part of the Scraphappy Blog and to take this opportunity to introduce myself, or in some cases re-introduce myself to all of you.

I have been scrapbooking for a really long time, over 20 years! I have no human children just one adorable and spoiled dog. Because I have no children I get the question a lot “what do you possibly have to scrapbook about?”  That answer is easy – I scrapbook about myself, my life, my stories and all the things that are important to me.

Every now and then I like to do a snapshot layout of what I’m like right now, what I’m into, what I’m doing, and this seemed like as good a time as any to create just such a layout!

It is always fun for me to do these layouts, to see how my scrapbook style has evolved and to see how the list of things about me has changed or in some cases how it’s stayed the same. I put a lot of myself out on social media so I don’t have a lot of hidden secrets, I’m pretty much what you see is what you get, and the journaling for this layout shows what I am right now in a stream of conscious list.

I had a lot of fun with this particular layout because I made sure my embellishments tied back to some of the items on the list and this is probably one of the few layouts that I really talk about myself in a super positive light and put right out there in writing that I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, you know minus this little pandemic we are dealing with of course.

I used a lot of products from the Simple Stories I AM collection because not only are they so pretty they really drove home the themes of this page.  I layered paper, I splattered ink, I busted out my enamel dots and it turned out to be a layout I’m really happy with and that tells a pretty good story about who I am right now, what I enjoy doing and what I look like right now.

It will be so fun to look back on this page years from now and see who Dani was in 2020, it’s really what I strive for and why I love scrapbooking so much, I love telling my stories right now. I don’t know who will be looking at these books in the future but someone might be interested to know what life was like for a crazy 43 year old Disney obsessed scrapbooker in Orlando, Florida and my pages will have a lot of those answers!
