Introducing… Your Cruise Director!

Alice Boll

julie-mccoy-cruise-director-the-love-boatI’m so very excited to announce that “Disney Dani” “Scrapper on the Street” Taylor will be taking on the roll of ScrapHappy Cruise Director!

She’s better dressed than Julie McCoy…

…Friendlier than Martha Stewart…

…Sharper than a barrel of Fiskars orange-handled scissors…

…And downright AWESOME.

Coming off the rousing good time that was our Second Annual Family Reunion in San Antonio (which Dani was largely responsible for planning), I begged and pleaded and got her to agree to take on a larger role here at ScrapHappy. Having a one-person point of contact to act as event planner, welcome wagon, community manager, and content manager will make life easier for us all!

Dani will be responsible for moderating the message board, serving as the first line of customer service for ScrapHappy members, organize fun activities for you all (including the family reunion!) and otherwise keep the pulse of all things ScrapHappy. OF COURSE I am still involved and am not stepping back in any way. We’ve just grown to the point where I need a helping hand! And that’s good. 🙂

I thought you all would enjoy getting to know Dani a bit better…

1. Name:
Danielle “Dani” Taylor AKA DisneyDani

2. Who lives with you?

Black Cardstock, Patterned paper, a white gel pen, buttons and washi

4. What was the topic of your first scrapbook page?
I’ve been a scrapbooker for a very long time so my very first page was probably about New Kids on the Block or some other heart throb I was in love with at the time.

5. How would you define your scrapbooking style?
Evolving! My style is constantly changing but I don’t really follow the trends I just put together pages that I love and that tell the stories that are important to me.

6. When did you join the ScrapHappy family?
I’ve been a member since day 1!!

7. What do you like best about the community?

I like coffee – A LOT

9. What’s something we would be surprised to know about you?
I can be shy in certain situations

10. What did you have for breakfast today?
COFFEE

11. Do you have a favorite quote?
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away.

12. Three websites you visit regularly?
ScrapHappy.Org, Facebook.com, Pinterest.com

And to cap things off, here are a few of Dani’s latest layouts:

“This photo I took after the ‘Your Life Captured Through the Lens’ class from Katrina Kennedy. This was the photo I was most proud of, and I wanted to showcase it on a layout. I left a lot of white space so as not to overwhelm the photo. But I made it fanciful.”

“This is one of my favorite places, which is not easy for me to say because it’s in that Ft. Myers/South Florida location that I complain about every so often. 😉 But it’s a really cute picture of my sister doing the famous ‘Sanibel Stoop.’ That’s what they call it when you are digging for the shells because Sanibel is one of the most famous shelling locations. For the layout, I played with layers and inks, and added butterflies and buttons, all of my favorite things to do on a layout.”
