“The yearbook still fulfills some standard roles: it is a memory book, a history book, a record book, and/or a reference book.”  Herff Jones Yearbooks. The same could easily be said of scrapbooking.

This month we will use the classic school yearbook as a springboard for recording our memories. Monday, Wednesday & Friday our ScrapHappy Class Representatives will inspire you with their take on the prompt.

Mondays: “Senior Superlatives
Tuesdays: “School Subjects
Wednesdays: “Clubs
Thursdays: “School Spaces
Fridays: “Yearbook Staff
Saturdays: “School Supplies
Sundays: Random but theme-inspired

Each Friday members of our Pep Squad will highlight layouts they spot in the gallery with a Pep Rally.  Be on the look out at the Flickr thread and Facebook posts and be sure to cheer your classmates on.

Each week of LOAD, we will also have a designated Study Hall Tutor to help inspire you (in addition to the prompts) with sketches, technique ideas and scrappy tutorials.  Once again, be on the look out for their posts on Flickr and Facebook – our homerooms, so to speak!

Meet your ScrapHappy Class of 2014 “Principals”…

Today’s prompt:  Be inspired by a yearbook photo.

Yearbook photos are basically a snapshot in time, so just tell us about you, today.  Work in your own style with your favorite techniques or products. You might do an All About Me Right Now page in a list format, document the story or meaning of your name, or perhaps your family’s origins.

Be sure to grab your VARSITY jacket & your favorite adhesive as we get ready to scrap the month away!

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

*Remember to come back here directly each day for the prompt.*  Use all caps password VARSITY
