A Moment to Relive

The Layout a Day challenge in February 2017 was LOAD217 Greek Mythology. Each day of the month was inspired by a story of a Greek god or goddess.

I was a little concerned about the inspiration for Day 3, Prometheus.

If you’re not familiar with the story of Prometheus, here’s the short version.

Prometheus gave humans the gift of fire and metalworking. This angered Zeus and he punished Prometheus by chaining him to a rock. Every day an eagle would eat his liver, which would regrow only for the whole thing to be repeated the next day.

Uh… gross!

Thankfully, the daily prompt took the idea and turned it upside down.

Prompt:

Which moment would you choose to relive?

I quickly thought about a moment that I would LOVE to relive, and it definitely didn’t involve livers or eagles. 😉

When my oldest son, Joe was 10 months old my husband and I had taken a vacation in Hawaii for a week. Upon our return Joe had the sweetest reaction to seeing me.

Journaling reads:

When Joe was only 10 months old Jonas and I went to Hawaii for a holiday. When we returned I woke Joe up, and when he saw me he started saying, “Mom, Mom, Mom, Mom, Mom,” and he grabbed at my face. the whole time I was gone I worried he’d forget me. This was a magical moment I’d love to relive.

What moment would you love to relive that you need to scrapbook?

Happy scrapping!

Alice.
