Start with a black and white photo. Rachel says that starting with a black and white photo will look timeless and give you the chance to play with any papers or colours. It’s also a good way to unify the look of photos from different times.

When starting to explore watercolour stick to just 2-3 colours in the same family to create easy colour blends that look great.
