5 Tips to Take Better Photos of You

You might not love every photo of yourself, but these 5 tips will help:

  1. Hold camera as far away as you can, maybe with a selfie stick.
  2. Hold the camera above your eye line.
  3. Accept that you’re taking a photo and “love it” and lean in.
  4. Look at the lens, not your face.
  5. Smile!

Mentioned in Episode:

I found a great video to help inspire you to take photos of yourself, especially with an obscured face. I love the ideas about capturing good hair days, having your back to the camera and hiding behind the camera!

Layouts Shared in Episode

The “As Eye See It” layout was made many years ago. It features a big photo of my son’s eye and a second page with an interview from his perspective.
The “Play, Do Your Thing” layout features a silhouette photo of me doing a cartwheel on a beach. You can also see my shadow on the wet sand. (This was such a fun trip with my ScrapHappy sisters!)
