Getting wild digitally

Today, I'm letting chance decide what to scrap with! Sounds fun? It really is! And you have no idea how your page will turn out in the end.

With all the Scrappy Spring Break Party and March Madness going on on the blog this month I started thinking about how we can get a little wild the digital way. And I think I came up with a very fun approach!

A while ago I introduced you to eagle, the program I use to organize my digital scrapbooking supplies. You can read everything about it here
Eagle is also perfect for today’s plans since it has a Random display option on the left sidebar.

This was the starting point for my first page for today. I wanted to create a photoless page with everything that just speaks to me from the random search.

As always I used Affinity Photo to create. I collected everything that I liked from the random search in the Assets section on the left and started with placing some Elements.

It was interesting asI had elements and papers in very different styles in my collection and it took some time to discover which way my layout would take. It took some turns on the way. 😉

This is my finished page:

For my second page I used some photos of an evening at the lake as a starting point. In a way that was a bit easier to choose stuff because theme and mood were set already.
And I wanted to use a template this time. Also from the random search, of course. So I started a new search and decided for this template by Scrapping with Liz.

I started with the photo placement, then decided to switsch up the template a bit. I used the journaling spot for another photo and changed the photo arrangement. For the background I decided for only two papers instead of the three from the template.
On the right picture you see the final paper choices. I choose the same paper for the triangles (besides the one with the owl) as for the bottom left ‘photo corner’. Now all that’s missing is the title and a little decoration.

And here is my final page:

This was so much fun! An awesome way to play and spark your creativity. I would have never done any of these pages without my little random challenge.

If you don’t have an app with a random display option, maybe you can find other ways to choose your supplies by chance. Maybe with the help of a random nummer generator or you type a random letter combination in the search field of your scrappy file folder and see what elements and papers come up to choose from.
