Scrapbook Yourself and your preferences with tips from Alice Boll in this episode of the ScrapHappier Podcast.
It’s important to put yourself into your scrapbooks. Do your scrapbooks show who you are?
Alice Boll from ScrapHappy walks you through Part 5 of the 10 part series to help you Scrapbook Yourself!
Part 5 is all about Your Values and Beliefs. Have you captured your core values and beliefs in your scrapbooks and on your scrapbook layouts? Alice will show you how to get started.
What is important to you? You have certain values and beliefs that help to make you who you are. Scrapbooking these essential parts of who you are and what you believe will make your layouts more representative of you.
Your core beliefs are your strong, long-term beliefs that help you understand how the world works and who you are. Beliefs come from different sources such as your own experiences, cultural and societal norms and other people, such as through education and mentoring.
Your values are you stable, long-lasting beliefs about what is important to you. Beliefs develop into values when your commitment to it grows and you see it as important. Values may relate to happiness, wealth, career success, family or other areas.
Here is a Core Value List for you to consider. You don’t have to pick just one!

3 Tips to Scrapbook Your Values and Beliefs
- Slip your values and beliefs into other pages you create.
- Approach the topic of values and beliefs playfully.
- Show how you’ve incorporated your value or belief into your life.
DESIGN ELEMENTS
When scrapbooking your values and beliefs you want your layouts to mate the energy and tone of your topic. Consider your choices for colour, shapes, style and symbolism.
Colour: Do you want primary colours or contrasting colours to bring energy and excitement to the layout, or would pastels or muted colours and their calm energy be a better fit?
Consider the symbolism and meaning of embellishments you choose. You may wish to include religious symbols when sharing your religious beliefs.
Have you made a layout about your personality? I’d love to hear about it!
